Within two days of being called by Entergy storm managers, SOS put together nearly 1,000 FTEs (including equipment) and headed for Louisiana, beginning work on August 27, 2021. Initially, SOS staged resources in Baton Rouge and then moved south another two hours, fanning out across Houma, Lockport and Golden Meadow, La. SOS crews restored distribution circuits and rebuilt infrastructure to bring power back to Louisianans in the wake of Ida’s wreckage.
